She and her fur babies enjoy snuggling on the couch and going for walks. Sarah enjoys seeing all of the new puppies and kittens, as well as doing our lab work and treatments for those who need it. She is always looking to expand her knowledge and skill set along the way. Sarah has been a CVT for the past four years, and has been with us throughout that time period. She also enjoys reading, drawing, painting, or anything art related in her free time. Some of her favorite things to draw are animals of course!

Jovanne M. CVT

Jovanne is a certified veterinary technician here at our Throop location. She graduated in 2015 from Marywood University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Her original goal was to become a veterinarian, but while shadowing clinics she became fascinated with the role of a veterinary technician and decided to enroll in Johnson College’s vet tech program. She graduated in 2019 with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology and became certified after passing the VTNE the summer of 2019. She has experience working in an ER setting as well as general practice and joined our team in March of 2021. When not at work, she enjoys watching horror/suspenseful movies, shows involving the supernatural/paranormal, and true crime documentaries, playing video games, drawing, and spending time with her friends and family. Her two main passions in life are food and cats! She has two spoiled cats named Sophie and Penelope. Jovanne is bilingual and enthusiastic to help the Spanish-speaking community.

Theresa M. CVT

Theresa is one of our CVT’s from Scranton Pa. She attended the veterinary technician program at Johnson College. For her entire life she has always had a very strong love for all animals. Her main focus was to help and care for them, which is what lead her career path to what it is today. She has been with MVH since July of 2016. Theresa has two cats who she loves dearly : Kit & Fletcher.  In her free time, Theresa enjoys working out and spending time with close friends and family, and of course her fur babies.

Jenna S.

Jenna’s love for animals started at a very young age, with her childhood dogs Cody and Sophie. After working on an ambulance in NY she had decided human medicine wasn’t for her.  That’s when she found a job working as a kennel assistant at a local animal hospital. Over time she learned a lot and grew as a member in the veterinary field. Jenna has worked in many settings from general practice, ER and animal neurology where she was trained to work hand in hand with the doctors and provide treatments for a variety of patients. Not only has she worked in small animal medicine but large animal and exotics too. Jenna looks forward to continuing her career path in veterinary medicine and gaining knowledge to provide the best care possible.

Something Jenna commonly tells pet owners is “If your pet is in my care, I will love them and treat them as if they were my very own.”.

Mikaela L. CVT

Mikaela graduated from Johnson College in 2017 and pursued careers in both general practice and specialty surgery.  Her passion for helping animals began when a pregnant stray cat walked into her house and never left. Since then, she has spent her days helping animals in the clinic setting and TNRing her local strays.

When she’s not working, she cherishes spending time with her wonderful husband, Zach, and their beloved son, Charlie. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling everywhere and anywhere and attending comic cons, where she’s met well over 100 celebrities.

Mikaela’s “fur-family” includes 3 dogs: Ellie (miniature schnauzer), Aggie (pit bull), and Tillie (our tripod Chiweenie). We also have 13 cats:

Maia, Luna, Toothless, Laverne, Shirley, Snape, Fred, Millie, Yoda, Horace, Katniss, Cali, and
