Robert Ruane, DVM

Dr. Robert Ruane is a Scranton native who graduated from the University of Scranton in 2013 with a degree in biology. He then received his degree in veterinary medicine in 2018 at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). Particular professional interests include, but are not limited to, small animal internal medicine, preventative medicine, diagnostic imaging, ophthalmology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Ruane also enjoys hiking with his dog, fishing, sports and traveling.

Emily Gillette, DVM

Dr. Emily Gillette was born and raised in Lake Ariel, PA. All her life, she knew she was going to dedicate her future to the welfare of animals. She graduated from La Salle University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She then went on to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and earned her DVM in 2019. She spent a year at Michigan State University completing her clinical rotations in a multitude of different specialties. During this time, she found a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgery, preventative medicine, shelter medicine, and rehabilitation.

Outside the office, Dr. Gillette is the proud mom of two island dogs, Reese and Tootsie, and an island cat, Todd. She enjoys horseback riding, weight lifting, traveling, and being outside!

Michelle Turk, DVM 

Dr. Michelle Turk grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She attended Cornell University and obtained a B.S. in Animal Science. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University in 2009. Following graduation, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Division of Comparative Medicine at MIT before a transition from research to clinical medicine. Since then she has been practicing locally as an associate veterinarian. Her professional interests include preventative medicine, clinical pathology, endocrinology and internal medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Michelle enjoys reading, drawing and photography.

Sandra Shaffer Dulay, VMD 

Dr. Sandra Shaffer Dulay is a native of Forksville, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Rochester in 2005. She then went on to attend veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2009. 
   
Following graduation, Dr. Shaffer practiced mixed large and small animal medicine for several years before transitioning exclusively to companion animal medicine. Prior to joining Memorial Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Shaffer was a practitioner in Wayne and Pike Counties for 14 years. 
 
Dr. Shaffer resides in Honesdale with her husband Brian, a temperamental Shi-Tzu rescue named Buddy, and two senior cats, named Braveheart and Sunny. In her free time, Dr. Shaffer is an avid gardener.  She also enjoys reading, photography and hiking with her husband.
